The first photo, which was taken yesterday, is of my neighborhood in Los Angeles. This is the corner of Doheny Drive and Santa Monica Boulevard. On the left is Beverly Hills and on the right is West Hollywood, I live on Doheny Drive halfway up the hill on the left. Sunset Boulevard is the next big street at the top of the hill.

The second photo was taken tonight at our orange grove in Ojai. We are up here with family as well as friends who are visiting from Massachusetts.

One photo is urban, the other rural. Both are central parts of my life here in California. I love both places for entirely different reasons.

I guess you can call this the city mouse and the country mouse residing in the same body.

For me, it’s a key to happiness.
