I am back in Texas. We are trying to come routinely to tackle the work that didn’t happen over the fourteen months we were away due to Covid. The weather is beautiful. I love fall anyway but fall in North Texas is especially nice. That is, as long as you don’t have ragweed allergies. Ray, who does, is not a fan of fall. But me, well, I love the changing leaves, the cooler temperatures, and the crispness in the air.
Today, Ray and I are in recovery mode. My flight got delayed several times yesterday, making my arrival not ten but midnight. Then we had the hour trip up from Dallas to Sherman. We didn’t get to bed until 3 am, so today has been our rest day. We start working tomorrow in order to get enough accomplished before heading back later in the week. We have to return to enjoy the family Halloween party next weekend. That is an event that we do not want to miss.
I am looking forward to an early-to-bed evening tonight. Truth is it’s only 6:10, and I am already eager to head upstairs. Hopefully by tomorrow, we’ll be more rested. Between the time change and a late night arrival, it takes a while to adjust to Texas time.
Have a good evening, my friends. I will check in again tomorrow.
