I’m very pleased to share that I’ll be speaking at the Ojai Public Library on Saturday, August 23, 2025, at 2 p.m.

I was a little shy about reaching out, but I gathered my courage and sent an email to see if the library might be interested in hosting a book talk and signing. Just a few days later, I received a lovely reply: they’d be delighted.

Ron Solórzano, Regional Librarian for the Ventura County Public Library, has been both encouraging and helpful—evidenced by the fantastic flyer he and his colleagues at the Ojai Library created.

If you’re free that Saturday and looking for a reason to visit beautiful Ojai, I’d love for you to join us! With just an hour set aside for the talk, you’ll have plenty of time afterward to enjoy Ojai’s charming downtown, hike one of the nearby trails, or simply grab a coffee and have a low-key visit with me.

This book continues to teach me to push past my comfort zone and ask. Sometimes, the answer is yes.
