Today, I spent several hours finishing up my book that will be printed by StoryWorth. This was a gift given to me by Sarah, Gregorio, and the kids for my birthday last year and I have been edging up to the deadline of getting it completed. However, as of today, I have a completed book of 271 pages entitled “A Few Favorite Stories and Recipes.” I decided to include many of my family’s favorite recipes that I cook so they’d have a place to find them.
I could easily spend a lot more time making this book perfect. However, I am aware that right here and right now, my time is fairly limited due to other obligations. I, therefore, decided to practice the art of imperfection and hit print regardless of the few blank pages I don’t understand. I feel certain that it will be absolutely fine in the big picture and I can be proud of the 33 stories and 40 recipes I included.
Here’s to completion. We’ll see how it turns out and learn what to do next time.
Thank you to the Pacheco-Beaty family. This was a wonderful process for me and I am feeling very proud to have completed what I hope will be a small, but sweet little volume of memories, food, and love.
And I made my deadline!

Congratulations.
