Ray and I headed to Ojai early today to do some work that had to be attended to. The mountains that are nearby were sprinkled with snow. We arrived at 8 am to find it was 38 degrees. The alpacas and chickens were fine, though the alpacas’ fur looked a bit soggy after all the rain. Our orange trees have oranges due to be ripe in July. I think they’ll be okay. It’s the little oranges buds and blossoms we’re worried about for next year’s crop. These low temperatures may be hard on them. We will see.
A clear, crisp, glorious day.
Rain returns tonight and will last the next few days.
That’s some beautiful country, Len! And the orchard heavenly!
Thank you, Kelly!
