Raindrops drum on the metal roof
Each drop
A connection
to the sky above
The rhythmic pitter-patter
Soothes
I breathe deeper
Shoulders relax
I feel safe
Swaddled in the dark night

Thanks, Jeanne. I appreciate that feedback. Hugs.
The sound of rain is amazing! In an attempt to learn how to sleep on a plane, I have recently learned it is a form of “pink noise.” Listening to recorded rain sounds at night as I drift off to sleep, I love how it ebbs and flows. Against a metal roof, even more delightful. Thanks for sharing.
Pink noise? Wow. I understand exactly why you would listen to recorded rain sounds before sleep. So soothing.
