Ray and I spent our Thanksgiving at Cindy Betty’s home with Cindy, our daughter Liz, her husband, Ron Betty, and Litte Baby Betty, who was safely tucked in Mommy’s tummy. We visited with Cindy, Liz, Ron, two of Ron’s uncles, a first cousin, and Cindy’s close friend. We also ate delicious food and did a fair amount of laughing around the dinner table. Thank you, Cindy Betty, for hosting us. We had lots of fun.
Tomorrow, we will head out to our oldest daughter Sarah’s house for the Leatherwood-Beaty family Thanksgiving. We have a tradition of celebrating on the Friday after Thanksgiving so our kids can be with their other families on Thanksgiving Day. This is the first time in a long time we have not had our Thanksgiving in Ojai. We are taking a break this year because little Baby Betty is busy getting ready to arrive. We thought it might be good to have a low-key dinner this year so we can keep it simple.
Clearly, I have much to be thankful for, not the least of which is the chance to celebrate Thanksgiving not once, but twice.
I hope you had a lovely Thanksgiving, in whatever configuration that might have been.
I’m headed to bed after a full and satisfying day.

So tickled to see that baby bump!! Brought a smile to my face. Looks like a beautiful gathering! Happy Thanksgiving to your klan. Life is good!!
Thanks, Kelly. We are all excited. If all goes well, I get to be a coach at the birth. Happy Thanksgiving to you and yours as well.
