Yesterday, Ray and I visited Otto and Sons Nursery in Fillmore, CA to look for roses for one of Ray’s clients. This charming place was established in 1976 and has been going strong ever since with Otto and his four sons at the helm. We’ve been there twice in the past 6 weeks. This is a lovely spot to go for a bit of rose therapy. You can’t help but feel that there is definitely something right in the world when you’re standing among all these beautiful flowers. It will brighten your day, I promise.

The nursery covers 22 acres and has a wide variety of roses, fruit trees and other plants for landscaping. There is also a nice garden store where you can buy supplies and ask the very knowledgeable folks who work there any questions related to roses or any of the other plants they carry. Just walking around is worth the drive from Los Angeles. You’ll leave with a bit more spring in your step.
