On the suggestion of my friend, Shann Schubert, tonight I listened to Brandi Carlile sing several Joni Mitchell songs. I am a huge Joni Mitchell fan so I am very critical of others trying to emulate Joni’s voice and sound. However, I will say that Carlile did a fine job and I felt myself feeling deeply touched by her rendition of “A Case of You.”
I don’t think I can add a video clip here, but there’s the link instead. I hope you’ll listen. Carlile has one of those unique voices that can actually give this song a good run for its money.

Wow! it’s not just that Joni Mitchell is my all time favorite, I had never heard of Brandi Carlile. I am watching her on Austin City Limits (as I write this) and she is freaking amazing! Thanks for sharing her with us!
