We are currently at our home in Sherman, Texas.  This is the view from my bed.  We have a wonderful upstairs master suite that includes this bedroom, which is charmingly quirky.  There are three windows in this room, two in alcoves that are about 5 feet tall; the third at the top of a very high wall, which is cut out above the bed.  (I’ve included a photo, but it’s not very easy to see just how lovely it is.)  These rooms, with their simple painted walls, are a stark contrast from the downstairs of this house, which is covered in colorful Victorian wallpaper.  The upstairs master suite offers a respite from all that busyness, which is exactly what we wanted.  Here is the place to come when you want to hide away and rest.  It is one of my favorite places in the world.
