We picked up our granddaughter, Luna, at 8 :15 am and Sarah arrived back at our house at 4:15 pm. Here is a basic overview of our day together.
Heading downtown to rendezvous with Sarah, who had to work in the clinic today.
Luna strapped in and ready to go.
Luna with Grandpa when we stopped for gasoline.
Luna and Grandpa (and Cordie) playing outside in our back driveway.
Luna heading off to play under the kumquat tree.
Rocks to explore along the way.
Luna in deep contemplation about these rocks.
Ah, Luna now has discovered her own special “dig.”
Pure happiness. Does she have an archaeologist for a father or what?
The dirt appears to hold deep fascination for our Luna.
Time for a bath for obvious reasons…
Okay, Grandma, I’m ready now to get out…
Grandpa, Luna and Cordelia playing in the den.
Getting more relaxed…
We had a wonderful day. This child brings so much joy to Ray and me. We feel very blessed to have this little one in our lives.
Sarah arrived and took Luna home. We are now resting from our visit…
As you can no doubt tell, Grandpa has a special spot for this girl.
Of course, Grandma does, too.

What a beautiful child Luna is growing into. Life would be less bright without the smiles and wonder of little people in our lives.
So true, Tess. Our world would be less bright without Luna’s smiles, that’s for sure!
I love that I’ve had granddaughters. Looking after them is so different than looking after my daughter when she was growing up. Different responsibilities, I suppose. 🙂
Yes, different responsibilities. I can just sit in the sun and play with Luna. So much fun.
