Tonight, I babysat baby Luna while her parents went off on a date night, their first since her birth not counting the other time I babysat while they went to a party. This time, it was to the movies. The first movie they’ve seen in a theater since this baby was born.

Luna was a whirl of motion all evening. She crawled, stood, jumped up and down and then did it all again and again. I can already see that she’s going to need to play a sport early. I can already imagine her on the soccer field with her 3-year-old counterparts, spending more time running back and forth to Mom and Dad, then kicking the ball. She is definitely a live wire.

She and I watched Mulan, danced and laughed, played in the tub and snuggled while I bottle fed her. No real complaints.

Of course, her mother texted 4 times in that 2 hour period.

And now, Grandma needs to go to bed!
