Our Texas Home: A Step into the Past

Here is our Texas home. It is a Queen Anne Victorian that was a derelict building when we bought it; everything of value robbed – mantles, light fixtures, etc. – and the wall stripped down to the lath. My camera is not very good, and there are more rooms that are not included because I couldn’t get a good enough picture.  But this is enough, I believe, to illustrate why we come to Texas so much. It is love every time I walk in the front door.

Wow! Look at those doors and windows. I know you two have performed a miracle. There are still unused country homes in Indiana. Tom’s sister brought life to an old farmhouse. They are so appealing and comfortable. I could live in any of them…except of course each new day I’d find myself in Indiana. Congratulations.

    1. Thanks, Sarah. Yes, we have brought this place back from the dead and I’m so happy about that. This is only one of two Queen Anne Victorians left in this small town and the prettiest one, at least from my perspective. So, thank you. I hope you’re feeling better!
