Peach Frozen Yogurt Recipe: Delicious

I made this recipe today. I would highly recommend it. I have an electric ice cream and frozen yogurt maker that is easy as pie. Just put these ingredients together, pop them in the frozen bowl, and in 20 minutes you have delectable frozen yogurt, honey-sweetened if you like or sugar if that’s more to your taste.

Enjoy!

Fresh Peach Frozen Yogurt
makes about a quart
3 large, ripe peaches, peeled and cut into chunks
1/2 cup sugar (or honey)
juice of 1/2 lemon
2 cups plain whole milk yogurt

Put the peaches, sugar (or honey), and lemon juice in a food processor or blender and purée. (If you do want to add vodka to keep the mix from getting icy in the freezer, add it before you blend.)

Transfer the peach mixture to a large bowl and stir in the yogurt. If you have time, chill the base in the refrigerator for an hour or so (not completely necessary, but an extra safeguard if your ice cream maker isn’t very powerful).

Freeze in an ice cream maker according to the directions. Serve immediately or transfer to a container and allow to firm up for an hour or two in the freezer.

Wish I had an ice cream maker now!

  2. Good thing I don’t have an ice cream and frozen yogurt maker. My tush would turn to mush. Looks DELICIOUS though. Nice to see how the grass grows on the other side of the fence.

    1. Well, you can make it with nonfat or low fat yogurt and enjoy the flavor without the guilt!
