My daughter Liz finished her first year of accelerated law school today – she had her last final. “Accelerated” means law school in 2 years versus 3. She and her boyfriend are in the same program and we had a celebration dinner for them today with Ron’s parents as guests. I made chicken enchiladas at 6:30 this morning in preparation for this evening, plus a homemade chocolate cake. I also made the sugar cookies for the Writing Event tomorrow before my 9 am student.
Funny how some weeks everything happens. This is one of those. By 2:30 tomorrow, everything stops happening and will stay slow for the rest of the summer.
I am so proud of sweet Liz and her darling boyfriend Ron. Now those two make my busy days look slightly lightweight…
But tomorrow they are off to Mexico for a well-deserved break and I will be putting my feet up around 3 to just chill out.
I must say that the stories of my students are fabulous. I am impressed with their talent and hard work.
Off to bed I go. Lots still to do, but the end is in sight. Now I am getting excited.
Seeing one’s children do well is one of life’s best rewards.
Absolutely!
Sounds like you have a wonderful life.
Thanks, Gary. I have a happy life, for sure. Full of people I love and work that keeps me challenged. Not a perfect life, by any means, but a happy one, it’s true.
That’s what parents live for: to see their children do well.
Nice Mother’s Day gift for you, I guess.
It’s true, Tess. I am so proud of all three of my girls. They are smart, sweet and beautiful inside and out. I am blessed.
