Silence surrounds me
Night’s chill permeates the air
A far-off dog barks
My body craves warmth
Soft bed and heavy blankets
Dreams of summer days
Sweet sleep calls to me
Restorative night awaits
Sunrise pink with hope

Nice Haiku. Hope you got warmer in bed.
Wonderful. I especially love the last line, sunrise pink with hope. =)
Thank you so much! Yes, I loved that line, too. And right now I am looking out to the east where the sky is a bright pink.
