“Touch a Truck” with Ethan, his Mama, Pappa, and Meemaw

On Saturday morning, Ray and I went with our daughter, Liz, and grandson, Ethan, to Oxnard for a “Touch a Truck” event near the beach. This is an opportunity for children to get up close and personal with a variety of trucks, including fire trucks, garbage trucks, crane trucks, school buses, ambulances, 18-wheelers, large tractors, and more. I only snapped a few photos, but they should give you a pretty clear idea of how little 2 3/4-year-old Ethan feels about these vehicles. When he’s not pointing out the various trucks on the highway, he’s watching kids’ shows about garbage trucks and excavators, playing “mechanic” on our old tractor, or playing with his monster trucks. Needless to say, this event was a big hit for our youngest grandchild. I’m so glad the various organizations around town organized this event. All the kids seemed to be excited, and it was a gorgeous day to be right next to the beach in Oxnard, California.
