Today, I had a wonderful time reading and discussing my book Hope in a Time of Dying at Ginger Nye’s “Wind Down Wednesday” series at Austin College. The turnout was strong, and the audience was open, engaged, and responsive. I was especially touched to see several old and dear friends in the audience, whose encouraging nods and big smiles warmed my heart. Thank you, friends!
My book’s message is that love can win out even under the most difficult of circumstances. I believe wholeheartedly in that truth and am grateful to have had the chance to share both my journey as a writer and my reflections on creating this autobiographical novel, which was “inspired by real events.”
Ginger, thanks again for inviting me to participate. I am happy to have had the chance to share my story in Sherman, Texas, where Ray and I have owned a home for over forty years.
What a treat!
Here is a photo of Ginger Nye and me. Thanks, Chele Wells, for snapping it!
