What a wonderful experience my Book Soup reading and signing was! I had over 30 people fight traffic to get there, and they were an attentive and supportive audience. Cindy Betty—my in-law and co-Memaw to Ethan—regaled the crowd with delicious homemade cookies, and I was surrounded by friends and family. All three daughters, two sons-in-law, two grandkids, a sweet collection of my beloved students, old friends from Beverly Hills, and a whole gaggle of buddies from St. Thomas the Apostle, Hollywood all came to celebrate with me. I also got to reunite with a psychologist in town with whom I’ve worked both at the BHUSD parenting workshops and also as an editor for his books. I am indeed a lucky woman.
