Today is my husband Ray’s birthday, and one of my gifts is to publish my book, Hope in a Time of Dying, on his special day. Why? Because Ray has been a steadfast supporter of my writing for years and a literary consultant, guidance counselor, and psychologist from time to time as I have struggled with making sense of what I was doing with this book. So, thank you, Ray, and consider this publication a gift from the heart. Though I will soon resume writing my second novel, which is a third finished, perhaps you’ll get a respite from your counselor/supporter/adviser duties between now and then.
