Welcome to 2025

Today is the beginning of a new year, and I will resist doing what I always do: make a long list of goals I hope to accomplish to make me healthier, happier, and more balanced. Instead, I have a tiny list of goals for this month, which I believe I can manage.

Here it is:

  1. Publish my book, Hope in the Time of Dying, by my birthday, January 21st. This is a long time in coming and the last edits are almost finished. I promised my kids that the 21st would be the day. I will write about the novel on my blog over the next few weeks, so you’ll learn more about the process, characters, and plot then. Stay tuned.
  2. Drink a protein drink daily and take my vitamins and cholesterol medication.
  3. Write my blog daily. I’m still deciding whether to take it in a new direction or keep it the same.
  4. Be kind to myself and those around me.
  5. Practice gratitude daily.
  6. Get 8 hours of sleep every night.
