Thanksgiving Weekend at the Orange Grove

Our three daughters, their husbands/partners (except Gregorio), and all the grandkids are at the orange grove until Sunday. Gregorio will arrive tomorrow to join the festivities. We had lots of leftovers from the Betty Thanksgiving, plus Rachael and Andrew brought leftovers from the Pineda Thanksgiving. Thanks to the mothers, Cindy and Martha, for your tasty offerings. We definitely have more food than we can eat this weekend!

Little Ethan was extremely excited to have his three older cousins visiting. He, Nico, and Lyla jumped on the trampoline with heavy supervision from Grandma since Ethan is not yet two. But Nico (almost nine) and Lyla (5 3/4) were careful not to bounce him around too much and made sure they didn’t jump too close.

Luna hung out with the adults for the most part. At 11 (almost 12), she is more of an adolescent than a kid, and she is comfortable voicing her opinion during our conversations. She also has a quick sense of humor and makes quips and jokes that keep us entertained.

Sarah and Gregorio are going out to dinner for their wedding anniversary tomorrow, so we’ll watch the kids for them. We’ll also be hanging out all day, eating, walking, or watching movies together.

Having all the kids here is a wonderful treat. We plan to just hang out and relax. We rarely get this much time together, so I plan to soak it in and enjoy every moment.

I hope you are enjoying leftovers and planning a relaxing weekend. Tomorrow, I’ll remember to take some photos. I was too busy just hanging out today to remember.

Hugs to all.
