Our Thanksgiving Plans

Over the next few days, I will spend lots of time with my family. Tomorrow, we’ll celebrate at my son-in-law Ron’s mother’s house in LA, Cindy is a great cook and a lovely person, so I look forward to sharing Thanksgiving Day with her. Family and friends will be there, making for a festive, happy holiday. I appreciate that Cindy loves to entertain and will be right in her element doing all that cooking. We’ll bring Ray’s cranberry sauce and a dessert as our contribution. Thanks in advance, Cindy, for all your efforts.

Our kids and grandkids will come to Ojai for the weekend on Friday. This will be quite a treat since we haven’t had a whole family gathering here in a while. Over the past month or so, we’ve had obstacles galore thwarting our plans to get together: COVID-19, strep throat, school, a stomach virus, our trip to Sicily, and Ron and Liz’s trip to Japan. Hopefully, we can all stay well enough for the next few days to enjoy each other’s company in person. My fingers are crossed.

I wish all of you a Happy Thanksgiving, no matter what that might mean in your life. From a meal alone to a house overflowing, please know I appreciate the gift of having you in my life.

Wishing you love and contentment.
