Last Minute Departure Chores

This is what I did today, the day before our trip to Sicily for two weeks:

  1. Made baby Ethan oatmeal with fruit.
  2. Watered all the plants around the grove.
  3. Gave our dog Frankie a bath with Ethan’s help for her two-week stay with our friend/priest Ian.
  4. Brushed Cordelia so she would be ready for her two-week stay as well.
  5. Washed all the towels we used for Frankie and also for the grandkids’ recent visit.
  6. Dug out some sweaters.
  7. Packed my backpack.
  8. Polished my leather clogs.
  9. Washed the dishes, took out the trash, and took out the compost.
  10. Took eBay packages to Attitude Adjustment Shoppe for FedEx.
  11. Picked up packages, three of which were small items for the trip.
  12. Ate lunch with Liz and Ethan before he headed in for his nap.
  13. Got my hair cut.
  14. Saw two students.
  15. Picked up one more package at Attitude Adjustment.
  16. Ate dinner with Liz, Ron and Ethan.
  17. More trip prep – tried on compression socks, weighed our backpacks, etc.
  18. Took a shower.
  19. In bed by 10:30
  20. Hopefully, I will be asleep in five minutes since we are waking up early to complete the final stuff necessary before leaving around 8 am.

Night night.
