My daughter Sarah gave me a tube of Trader Joe’s sunscreen for Christmas. She said it has the same formula as a much more expensive sunscreen but at Trader Joe’s prices. I was skeptical about why this particular product would be “so much better” until I opened the tube and applied some on my face. Instead of the heavy, pore-clogging lotion of typical sunscreens, this was light and blended in almost immediately. Also, once on, it created a matte finish, which is not anything I’ve experienced before with sunscreen. I don’t wear makeup, but if I did, I’m sure I could easily apply it on top of this sunscreen with great results. On the label, it says it’s fragrance and oil-free, has an invisible gel formula, and is water and sweat-resistant for 40 minutes. It is also a “broad spectrum” for daily use and SPF 40.

I am now a total convert to this particular type of TJ’s sunscreen and would highly recommend it. Unfortunately, it’s not that easy to find. I’m not sure about the cost for the 1.7 fluid ounces that come in the box shown in the photo below, but I know it’s reasonably priced. Be sure, however, to pick this particular product. Trader Joe’s has other sunscreens, which may or may not be good. However, this one I can vouch for, for sure!

I’ve never experienced such a light and translucent gel in a sunscreen before. Try it once, and you’ll be a convert, too. I guarantee it.
