Today is the 30th birthday of Andrew, Rachael’s boyfriend. Actually, his birthday is on Tuesday, but a weekend party gets a lot more attendance. Also, Rachael and Andrew are celebrating moving into a new house, which makes for a doubly happy event.

Andrew’s mom made street tacos for the party with chicken, chorizo, nopales, and grilled peppers. She also made homemade pinto beans and grilled tortillas with cheese. Of course, there was also a birthday cake – Tres Leches – with real fruit on the top.

It was so much fun to have our two families together for the party along with a nice mixture of Rachael and Andrew’s close friends. A happy event with lots of laughter.

Happy birthday, Andrew, and congratulations on the new house! Rachael has already been busy decorating, and, of course, it is adorable.
