Pompidou Center for Modern Art

Today we went to the Pompidou Center for Modern Art. This is a favorite art museum for Ray and me because we both love modern art and the Pompidou’s exhibitions and collections are incomparable. Another great thing about the Pompidou is that in the permanent collection, they divide the paintings and sculptures by artistic period so the viewer has a context to view the art. This is extremely educational, which I greatly appreciate.

There were lots of people who were out on a Saturday to see the collections. That was okay because the center is huge and can accommodate crowds. The design of the building also spreads people out depending on what they’ve come to see, so that is even better. We ended the day at a Vietnamese restaurant near our hotel where I had ramen noodles in chicken broth. It was a perfect ending to our near-perfect day.

Here are a few photos of some of my favorite art.
