#21 – Something That Makes Me Happy – Celestial Seasonings Bengal Spice Tea

One of my great pleasures as the days cool off is drinking a cup of hot tea. I have just returned to this ritual recently and my current tea of choice is Celestial Seasonings Bengal Spice Herbal Tea. My daughter Sarah introduced me to this particular flavor and the unique blend of spices makes this tea not only unusually rich but also naturally sweet.

The spices in the tea are cinnamon, roasted chicory, roasted carob, natural spice and vanilla flavors with other natural flavors, Ginger, Cardamom, Black Pepper, Cloves, and Nutmeg. This is described on the box as Celestial Seasonings “caffeine-free interpretation of chai, the piquent Indian brew traditionally made with black tea.”

I love chai tea, but I can’t drink it past four in the afternoon unless I want to be awake until 2 am. Having this lovely alternative is wonderful and it is so rich, I don’t need to add cream or sweetener.

Celestial Seasonings is an American company based in Boulder, Colorado. As it reads on the top of the tea box, Celestial Seasonings has been “blending herbs, art and inspiration since 1969.”

If you’d like a rich and spicy cup of tea without the caffeine buzz, then try Bengal Spice. There is a tiger on the package for a reason – Bengal Spice is both strong and exotic. I think you’ll like it.
