I have always liked crossword puzzles. Unless, of course, they’re too hard and then they’re no fun at all. But a moderately difficult crossword is right up my alley.

A couple of months ago I discovered the Crossword Puzzle Club, which features short puzzles that vary in difficulty from pretty easy to slightly harder. I receive a new puzzle daily in my email and I now look forward to doing my crossword every night. I have become so enthusiastic, in fact, that I’ve gone to the archives on the puzzle site and tackled a couple of months of those puzzles too.

These puzzles require just enough brain power to keep me focused, but not so much that I feel overly frustrated. For me, that is the right combination to make these puzzles both entertaining and relaxing. Also, I’m sure it can’t hurt to get a little brain exercise every day.

These puzzles are certainly not challenging enough for real crossword aficionados out there. Instead, they are designed for someone like me, who is only moderately skilled in the crossword process.
