An Evening with Ira Glass

Tonight we went with friends to see Ira Glass from NPR’s This American Life. This is the second time I’ve heard him speak and it’s always funny and inspirational. For those of you who don’t know This American Life, let me say that it’s one of the best “truth-life” programs on all of radio. We listen as often as we can and we are never disappointed.

Here is one of the classic shows: A Poultry Slam

Listen and enjoy this hour-long show.

We were up at 5:30 in order to volunteer at the homeless breakfast this morning. It is 11:55 now, so I am headed to bed.

Good night, my friends.

  1. I always enjoy Ira Glass’ program. Listen to NPR going to and from work and when running back and forth to town. And his voice is so interestingly different.

    1. It’s true, Juliana. Ira has such an expressiveness to his voice – and his tone is “interestingly different.”

I listen, too, to his program as often as I can. He and his team truly understand the dynamics of storytelling. I was actually taking notes in the dark last night, trying to capture what he was saying about “story.”

      Thanks for your comments.
