Prompt: Editing Hell

I wonder if I’ll ever be a better planner?

I am starting to think not.

After all, are good planners working with their students from morning until night on editing for their Writing Celebration?

I suspect not.

Alas. This is exactly what I’ve been doing.

I still have more editing to do, plus cookies to bake, and fruits and vegetables to prep. Then there’s that dip I had hoped to make…

Why oh why didn’t I just go with donuts and coffee?

I know this event will be fun. I know I’ll be glad everyone has stories that are finished and good. I’d just like 3 more days.

Thank goodness, Sunday is Mother’s Day. I’ll get a good rest and a good dinner. I am looking forward to both.

Meanwhile, back to editing.

      I am now home with my shoes off and am about to go plop in front of the television. A good day, all round, but now it’s time to do nothing.
