Haiku: Treasures in My Living Room

My grandmother’s lamp
Shines bright in our front window
Shade of green and red

My brother Jim’s lamp
Stands between two wingback chairs
Pink and green stained glass

My brother John’s books
Fill a Mission oak stacked case
Bound in red and gold

A china cabinet
From my best friend Patricia
Filled with memories

A photo of Dad
Sits atop the oak buffet
In a silver frame

A full living room
Housing treasures from loved ones
Smiling from on high

Lovely how your poem so lovingly describes the presence of family and friends even when they are not physically there.

    1. Thank you, Tess. I appreciate that comment. Yes, my family and friends are around in spirit for sure.
